Who We Care For

Most births happen without complications, but for those times when extra care is needed, our Level II Special Care Nursery is ready. We care for babies with:

  • Prematurity (as early as 32 weeks or weighing as little as 3 pounds).
  • Infections or illnesses requiring close monitoring.
  • Birth defects or other medical challenges.

Some babies are born here and admitted immediately, while others may transfer to our nursery from Level III facilities once they no longer need intensive care.
