Discrimination is Against the Law

Southern New Hampshire Health System (SNHHS) complies with applicable Federal civil rights laws and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, disability, or sex, including sex characteristics, intersex traits; pregnancy or related conditions; sexual orientation; gender identity, and sex stereotypes. SNHHS: 

  • Provides people with disabilities with reasonable modifications and free appropriate auxiliary aids and services to communicate effectively with us, such as: 
    • Qualified sign language interpreters (live or video-remote interpreters (VRI)). 
    • Written information in other formats (ie, large print, audio, accessible electronic formats). 
  • Provides free language assistance services to people whose primary language is not English or who have limited English proficiency, which may include: 
    • Qualified interpreters (live, audio-remote interpreters, or video-remote interpreters). 
    • Information written in other languages.

Interpreter Services 

For patients who are deaf, hard of hearing, or have limited vision, The Medical Center will obtain sign language or other interpreters or Personal Readers if needed.  

NexTalk, a remote video interpreting system for American Sign Language is readily available throughout the hospital. Auxiliary devices available to meet your needs include Pocket Talker Personal amplifiers, magnifying sheets, Closed Caption Television, Teletypewriter (TTY) equipment, and a public videophone.

  • ICU Orientation
